New Host

There is a new host at the restaurant, and it's a guy!

We now have 2 guy hosts which is interesting. He is in his early 20's and was in the marines. Why he wanted to work at the restaurant, I have no idea.

There is also another new host I have not met yet, and new server. All these new people, I don't know how well I'll get along with them but it is all new because a lot of people that worked there when I started left.

No Heat

The restaurant now has no heat. It broke and is beyond freezing inside there. All the servers and hosts were allowed to wear black hoodies, thank goodness!

Customers have been complaining A LOT! Nobody wants to sit near the door and more towards the back. We have a total of 5 space heaters throughout the restaurant. That's where people want to sit. It is one big mess! Management thinks that it is finally fixed, but who knows. It has been so out of whack lately so it might break again.

Fire!

This week we had a major fire in the kitchen.

The fryer-later wasn't emptied right and one thing led to another and caught on fire. The whole towns fire department came to the restaurant and it was one big mess. We didn't open the next the day at all because the fire department didn't clear us. Everything since has gotten better and we got new equipment, but at the time it was a huge ordeal.

Good Riddance

The day has finally come! Everyone at the restaurant is very excited! Mel is finally leaving!!!! I know out of everyone Jackie is very excited.

This is her last week and then she is gone forever. Nobody ever has to listen to her loud screeching voice anymore. Jackie is just excited because now she doesn't have the threaten her every time she tries to flirt with Jackie's boyfriend in front of her, because of that whole situation that happened over the summer.

Mel is finally gone after Sunday! I have a feeling that some people are going to be a lot happier going to work not having to listen to her. I'll update after she leaves and we can see how much the restaurant is better without her.

New Menu

The restaurant is now changing it's entire menu.

This completely sprung up out of the blue. We had a huge meeting the other day about it. I mean I am all for a new menu that should bring in new business and help me make more money, but I'm not sure if this one will. We are getting rid of a bunch of fan favorites, which I think will make customers not so happy. One thing that I am happy about is we are getting rid of some things that were pointless being on there. They are trying to make the menu an easy read because right now it's basically a book.

One thing I am not happy about it a new program we are doing. I can't describe it to you because then you might know what restaurant I am talking about and I could get in trouble. I'll let you know though if this new program is working out for us.

One Ruins for the Rest

We now have a new policy at the restaurant. We were told that there is a no cell phone policy ever, if they see us with a phone they can take it away. Now I feel that they can't do that I mean it's my job and I pay for my phone. The only reason they did this was because Mel is constantly on her phone anywhere and everywhere. Everyone is very mad about this because one person ruined it for everyone. I can't wait to see how management will enforce this, especially with Mel because
if they do not enforce it with her I will use my phone out back like I used to.

Newbies

There are now a lot of as we call them at the restaurant, newbies. There is a new host, 2 new servers, and 2 new cooks. The host, Dylan is well lets just say a tad annoying. He thinks he already knows the in a outs of this place, but he has no idea! He talks back to the other hosts that train him and they get super annoyed with Dylan. He has a bit of sass to him.

The new servers are okay. The people who trained them though didn't do that great of a job, because they have to get help from everyone. I know that it takes time, but some of the things they need help with is something they should have been taught.

The new cooks are pretty cool. The salad guy is awesome and everyone loves him so there is no complaints there. The new pizza cook on the other hand decided to leave whenever he felt like the other day in the middle of a rush. Bad management for not firing, possibly. But that just goes back to my bad management post where they basically have no clue what they are doing and don't have any discipline.

No Drama

This week at the Restaurant was pretty boring, nothing exciting happened to even write about. The only somewhat interesting thing to talk about was that Steph #2 and Jake really do not like each other. They run around talking mad smack about each other to everyone at the Restaurant. It is pretty entertaining and funny to listen to them but that's all that happened this week. I'm hoping next week is better, because it definitely makes the work day go by very fast.  

Face Punch

So the restaurant had a crazy busy week. One of the highlights was a new very random relationship. It was between Steph and Eddy. Now Eddy used to be married and had a kid with this person. Eddy made the mistake of bringing Steph to his "baby mama's" house. Apparently, this women freaked out and punched Steph in the face. Everyone thought it was crazy and wondered why Eddy brought Steph to the "baby mama's" house. That was the talk around the restaurant this week. On a good note I guess they are still together after all of this went down. I guess all the relationships in the restaurant has their fair share of drama going on in them also.

Bad Management

The Restaurant this past week was not a fun place to be at. Lately everyone has been fighting and nobody is fun to be around. It has finally gotten busy and it has been stressing everyone out. Amanda and Luke almost quit because the managers were not doing their jobs and everyone was suffering because of it. Food was not being run, things were not prepped, and everyone just argued the entire time. Managers were also treating everyone like crap. They were not taking anyone seriously and telling people to mind their own business and do their own jobs when they were the ones not doing their jobs.

We also hired 2 new servers this week. They are okay, not sure if I'll get along with them because they are girls and girls normally don't like me, but we will see. There will be more to talk about next week after I work with them more.

Triange

This week at the restaurant was nuts! There were so many people that came in, which made everyone stressed out and took it out on everyone!

Luke and Jackie argued because things were crazy and she needed her food so they were fighting for a couple days because they were stressed all week. Then to add to things Mel was working with Jackie and Luke and Jackie did not like that because of the past events that went on. That while Jackie was away for a week a couple months ago, Luke slept with Mel. Jackie still is trying to trust Luke again but it is very hard when the 3 of them work together. Mel sucks up to Jackie and she hates it because Mel doesn't get that Jackie will never forgive her, or be her friend. Jackie also hates it when Mel goes and tries to flirt with Luke because he wants nothing to do with her anymore and you can tell Jackie really just wants to punch her in the face.

Next week will be very interesting to see what happens because Mel and Jackie are working together a lot!

Latest Boyfriend Girlfriend Drama

I think that the typical drama going on in the restaurant this week was relationship drama. The worst was between Jake and Jamie. They fight constantly. Then when only one of them is working they complain the entire time about the other. On Thursday Jake came in after he left after he had been drinking a little and just complained about Jamie. He didn't understand why she was mad at him for going out instead of going to her house like he said he was gonna. Guys just don't understand that stuff sometimes.

On a good not Luke and Jackie are doing pretty well at the moment. They only had a couple times during the week where they argued at work. Which is surprising because Luke screws up a lot but I think he really is trying to make it work. You can tell how much he likes her just by the way he looks at her. I think that relationships at work are unavoidable sometimes. There is always those people who just click. Some at the restaurant get annoyed by the 2 relationships, probably just because all the drama that goes on during the say between them all.

To make things a little weird too, before Jackie got together with Luke she was with Jake. They had an instant connection when she started working there. Then all a sudden he was dating Jamie. It was a very weird time there because whenever the 3 of them were working it was awkward and nobody talked to one another.

 Then there are all the different hookups that happen at the restaurant between everyone. But that is for a whole blog post by itself. I could list off everyone but in the next post I will talk about the main ones with the juiciest stories and that are very interesting to talk about.

The Restaurant

I am a waitress. And for the sake of not getting in trouble, lets call where I work the restaurant. Every place of work has its own drama that involves many different people, and the restaurant is no exception. Let me give some background information so you know what I'm talking about.

There has been a lot of different romantic ties between everyone at the restaurant. Jackie just started in May, and of course she is "fresh meat" to all the guys there. Sam and Jake were the first to take notice, but those only lasted a couple weeks each. Then Jackie started seeing this cook Luke at the restaurant. Things were going great until Jackie went on vacation. She came back and found out that Luke slept with another server, Mel a the restaurant, but this whole story is a story of its own, that will be told later on.

Most of the people that work at the restaurant are in relationships. But obviously the drama that goes on does not stop random hook ups in the walk in or flirting with each other on the line. Now there are only 2 relationships where someone is dating another in the restaurant. There is Jackie and Luke and Jake and Jamie. Everyone has been involved with one person or another here, its just what happens. But, all of this makes great gossip while everyone is working.

Each week I will discuss all the juicy gossip and drama that goes on in the restaurant. Everything from fights, relationships, and everything in between.
